Our new office will celebrate it's third anniversary on July 29th! We are proud to offer the latest technology in Optometric eye care with automated digital equipment from Optos, Nikon, Marco and Zeiss. We ask that you arrive for your appointment about 10 minutes early to fill out some basic medical forms. You will then be met by Dr. Griffith or Dr. Ettinger who will personally administer your exam from start to finish usually in about 25-30 minutes. Upon completion of the examination Dr. Griffith will transition you to a staff member and ensure that all your concerns and relevant information are understood.

Pre-Testing

Beginning with measuring your old glasses using a automated Lensmeter Dr. Griffith will then use a machine called an Auto-Refractor to provide a very accurate estimation of your new prescription to ensue the most precise refractions. Up next is a peripheral vision screening using a FDT Visual Field Tester and then an NCT that measures eye pressure as both are important methods to check for early signs of glaucoma and other visual problems.

Optos Retinal Imaging

Dr. Griffith is proud to offer the latest in retinal imaging from Optos called Daytona. This incredibly sophisticated machine takes digital scans of your retina of a scope that are unmatched. These images allow Dr. Griffith to diagnose and treat eye disease while also establishing a baseline of your retinal health for future reference. Dr. Griffith  recommends this evaluation for all patients and because he believes in this technology so strongly offers  retinal imaging at a reduced fee which includes an e-mailed copy of your digital images.

TRS-5100 Digital Refraction System

The TRS 5100 benefits from Marco's latest generation of electronic refraction technology. Replacing the standard refractor, it allows Dr. Griffith to control the entire refraction process from a keypad small enough to sit in his lap. The data from pretesting is transferred  to the exam room using a small credit card like memory chip  which assists Dr. Griffith be more accurate and efficient in determining your prescription.
